Project details

Lauderdale House is a Grade II listed building built in the 16th Century. It is steeped in history and has had many illustrious visitors.

Decontaminate assisted with initial survey and reinstatement after. The survey identified asbestos thermal insulation to pipework within the basement, asbestos insulation board panelling to doors, walls and ceilings and asbestos insulation board debris within the floor voids.

The most unique element of this project involved the removal of a bath believed to have been used by Nell Gwyn during her time at the house. Our carpenters numbered, labelled, and photographed the bath panels before removing them under controlled conditions. These panels were then wrapped and carefully packed into storage boxes for reinstatement.
